Blood-Related Cancers (Hematologic Malignancies)

Among the three main forms are multiple myeloma, lymphoma, and leukaemia. Every kind has unique qualities and different treatment approaches.
Leukaemia is a malignancy of the bone marrow and blood; it results from aberrant white blood cells proliferating unchecked. Starting in the lymphatic system, lymphoma affects lymphocytes, a kind of white blood cell vital for immune system operation.

Blood-related malignancies often cause inexplicable tiredness, recurrent infections, easy bruising or bleeding, lymph node swelling, and bone pain.

The type and stage of cancer will determine the available treatment choices, which can be chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, radiation, or stem cell transplantation. For many people with haematologic malignancies, early diagnostic and treatment breakthroughs have greatly enhanced prognosis.
