Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) refers to specialized medical devices
designed to help the heart pump blood when it cannot function effectively on
its own. These devices are commonly used in patients with advanced heart
failure, cardiogenic shock, or those awaiting heart transplantation. MCS can
provide temporary or long-term support depending on the patient's condition and
treatment goals.
Common forms of mechanical
