Graha Roga (Pediatric Infections)

Graha Roga in Ayurveda denotes paediatric illnesses and disorders attributed to compromised immunity and external pathogenic effects. In classical literature, "Graha" refers to invisible elements that disrupt a child's bodily and mental equilibrium and are frequently associated with microbial diseases in contemporary interpretation. Babies and toddlers are more likely to get sick since their immune systems aren't fully developed and their agni (digestive fire) is still growing.

Common signs are fever, diarrhoea, vomiting, cough, skin eruptions, weeping too much, being irritable, and having trouble sleeping. Some people also have symptoms like loss of appetite, weakness, and a longer recovery time. Poor cleanliness, contaminated food, changes in the weather, and bad childcare methods are all big reasons why this illness happens.

Ayurvedic management aims to enhance immunity (ojas) and equilibrate doshas. The treatment includes herbal decoctions, medicinal, and natural antibacterial herbs like Tulsi and Guduchi. Herbal fumigation and other practices help clean up the environment, which is crucial for reducing the risk of infections and promoting overall health in children. To avoid infections, it is important to focus on breastfeeding, sanitation, adequate nutrition, and keeping the environment clean.

Holistic care, timely intervention, and preventive actions are essential for controlling Graha Roga, enhancing children's immunity and general health
